Mexican Restaurant, King George, Tel Aviv
The initial goal was to design a place without a Mexican orientation, but rather a place a lighthearted location offering communal seating, self-service and a short stay by customers. You eat, and you leave.
The Conceptual design, inspired by the experience of low-key working man restaurants, led to the preliminary choice of materials in their natural state, which communicated directly with the ingredients on the menu and the slow cooking method.
The design was made by combining construction materials such as blockades, unprocessed wood, and cast iron while maintaining a clean design and aesthetics thus breaking the image and design of a typical fast food restaurant and instead to give the place a more stylish feel. The project included the development of a unique design language for the place and the creation and design of fitting elements.
